BIOGRAPHY

Young Lee is a Korean-born, US-based painter. Young formerly worked in the architectural graphic design field after earning her bachelor’s degree in visual design in 2007. After discovering a passion for art, she quickly forged a distinct style that is immediately recognizable – imaginative and whimsical yet dark scenes featuring cartoonish characters. Young draws ideas from her own life as well as from contemporary issues to assemble her scenes. Since obtaining an MFA at New York Academy of Art in 2020, Young has exhibited her work in galleries and art fairs across the United States, Europe, and Asia.  -From artist’s website
