Founded in 2020 by Rom Levy, Volery Gallery is a platform dedicated to artists shaping the New Contemporary Wave, fostering bold creativity and innovative perspectives in contemporary art.

Situated in Dubai’s International Financial Center, the gallery is known for its dynamic exhibitions that challenge artistic boundaries and introduce international talent to the region. Volery has showcased both established and emerging artists, including Roby Dwi Antono and Jordy Kerwick, while continuously championing new voices that redefine the global art landscape.

Expanding its commitment to artistic growth, Volery Gallery launched V-Residency, an artist residency program designed to provide space, resources, and curatorial support for artists to develop new work in an immersive environment. Positioned at the crossroads of cultures, Dubai serves as an ideal backdrop for artists to explore new ideas, engage in cross-disciplinary dialogue, and connect with a global audience.

Beyond exhibitions and residencies, Volery curates shows around universal themes such as protection and human resilience, creating thought-provoking and immersive experiences. Through strategic collaborations, artist residencies, and a commitment to fostering contemporary voices, Volery Gallery continues to shape Dubai’s art scene, offering private viewings by appointment.

ABOUT THE FOUNDER

Rom Levy is a curator, art dealer, and a driving force in the contemporary art world. For over 20 years, he has championed contemporary artists, curating groundbreaking exhibitions and fostering new artistic movements on a global scale.

Levy has played a pivotal role in shaping contemporary art, organizing major exhibitions and projects across Paris, London, Los Angeles, Moscow, Berlin, Shanghai, and Dubai. His curatorial vision has been central to numerous institutional collaborations, including his role as lead curator of the inaugural exhibition at the Urban Nation Museum in Berlin.

As a dedicated advocate for contemporary artists, Levy supports their development through commissions, residencies, and acquisitions, building a collection of over 700 works by some of the most influential contemporary artists. Since founding Volery Gallery in Dubai, he has curated a dynamic program of exhibitions, introducing international artists to the region and strengthening Dubai’s position as a key player in the global art market. His collaborations with regional and international institutions, as well as the UAE government, reflect his commitment to advancing contemporary art discourse.

Beyond Volery Gallery, Levy is the founder of RexRomae in London and SAN Projects Agency in London and Dubai, focusing on large-scale contemporary installations and public art. He is also the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of StreetArtNews, originally established as a platform for urban art but now expanding its focus to contemporary art and culture.
