BIOGRAPHY

Rita Maikova (b. 1990, Ukraine) lives and works in Barcelona. She studied Fine Arts at the Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design, graduating in 2012. Her figurative work blends elements of surrealism, mythology, and symbolism, drawing from nature to create narratives that bridge fantasy and reality. Maikova has exhibited widely, with notable shows at The Armory Show in New York, CAN Art Fair in Ibiza, and Women and Other Wild Creatures at Sapar Contemporary, New York. Her unique approach and evocative style invite viewers to immerse themselves in her world of mysticism and beauty, where every figure and symbol carries the weight of a personal yet universal story.
