BIOGRAPHY
Pablo Benzo works primarily with painting, investigating perspective and dimension, creating surrealistic compositions of items often found in houses, plants and objects with human characteristics. These arrangements are often painted with oversaturated hues against dim neutral backgrounds, creating a sense of freedom or confusion.
His work has been featured in several solo exhibitions, including El ruido vano en la entrada del silencio, Galería Animal, Santiago (2020); The great silence of these distances, Cass Contemporary, Florida (2019); Benzo Solo II, Mommsen 35 Gallery, Berlin (2019); Favoritismo, Galería Animal, Santiago (2018); The allure of devotion, BC Gallery, Berlin (2018); Dissolution of all enchantments, Soon Gallery, Bern, Switzerland (2018) and Willow Waltz, BC Gallery, Berlin (2016). His works has also been featured in numerous group exhibitions, such as Colectiva XLII, Galería Animal, Santiago (2020); Grand opening BC Gallery, Basel, Switzerland (2020); The new classics show, C.O.A. Gallery, Montreal (2019) and Destination 131, Forum des Halles, Paris (2018) among others.
He completed Pienkow Artist Residency in Lipinki, Poland (2016). Benzo received his degree in Graphic Design from University of Chile in 2009. Born in 1982 in Santiago, he currently lives and works in Berlin.

Volery Gallery presents Domesticity group exhibition, curated by Sasha Bogojev Curator and Contributing Editor at Juxtapoz Magazine. The inaugural exhibition presents a selection of all-new, previously unseen, original works by 17 international artists.
