BIOGRAPHY

From Tangier by birth, Casablanca at heart, and a citizen of the world through her art, Ghizlane Agzenaï has crafted an artistic style that is immediately recognizable. Her work is characterized by the use of geometric shapes and vibrant colors, which transport the viewer's eye into a metaphysical dimension where emotions can be freely expressed. Each line, angle, color, and interconnection in her work offers an infinite array of interpretations, tailored to the viewer's individual sensitivity.

Ghizlane has chosen to name each of her artworks "totem." These totems radiate positive vibes, luminous vibrations, and an energy that is both wild and kind-hearted. Designed to bring their tranquil and benevolent strength to any setting, her totems serve as symbols of unity. They are the antithesis of introversion, yet they foster introspection. Whether adorning gallery walls, museums, or public spaces worldwide, her works convey joy, vitality, and contagious optimism.

Ghizlane embodies cheerfulness and generosity in both her personality and her art. The Moroccan visual artist embarks on numerous projects globally. Maison Guerlain enlisted her talent to design a new customization plate and case for their perfume collection "Les couleurs du oud." As part of this collaboration, she also conceived the interior decor and layout of the most beautiful Guerlain boutiques worldwide. Additionally, she was chosen by the Mohammed VI Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Rabat to dress its facade during the Jidar festival in 2018.

Comfortable working with various mediums such as canvas, concrete, and wood, Ghizlane spreads her vibrant colors across the planet. She created installations for the Calle Libre festival in Vienna, as well as in Casablanca and Paris. Always eager to experiment with new formats, she developed original 3D works in Spain. Invited by artist Felipe Pantone to inaugurate his artist residency program, she showcased her creativity by imagining a modulable totem. Her art spreads not only in unconventional places but also in streets worldwide and in major company headquarters, such as Adidas in Germany. She participates in numerous group exhibitions during fairs and international showcases, including a significant display at the studio of the master of optical art, Victor Vasarely, in 2022.

Ghizlane Agzenaï’s works are part of prestigious collections, reflecting her significant impact on the contemporary art scene. Notable collections include: Musée Mohammed VI, Rabat, Morocco, MACAAL (Museum of African Contemporary Art Al Maaden), Marrakech, Morocco, Nesr Art Foundation, Luanda, Angola, Fubon Art Foundation, Taiwan

Her inclusion in these collections underscores her global appeal and the universal language of her art, bridging cultural and geographical divides through her compelling visual narratives.

Ghizlane continues to push the boundaries of her artistic practice, constantly exploring new ideas and mediums to express her unique vision. Her work not only captures the eye but also engages the soul, inviting viewers to explore their own interpretations and emotional responses. As she continues to evolve as an artist, Ghizlane remains dedicated to her mission of bringing good vibes and positivity to the world through her art.
