BIOGRAPHY
Fabian Treiber is a painter whose work lies between abstraction and figuration. The main subject of his paintings is often the interiors of spaces that exist in his memories. Treiber navigates through his work classical painting questions, such as form and structure, colour and composition as well as spatiality and the arrangement of this space. His unrealistic interiors’ perspectives and pastel palettes generate tension and raise the questions of how reality is defined and perceived.

Treiber has complicated [Es] positivo 7B Art Residency, spainfreshspace, Madrid (2017) and has been shortlisted for Grand Hans Purrmann Award of the City of Speyer, Germany (2021); Karl Schmidt-Rottluff Scholarship, The German Academic Scholarship Foundation, Berlin (2018); Walter Stöhrer Prize, The Walter Stöhrer Foundation, Germany (2014) and 12th art competition, Klett-Kunstprojekte, Stuttgart (2013). He is also a member of the Künstlerbund Baden-Württemberg.
In 2015 he received his degree in Bachelor of Fine Arts from State Academy of Fine Arts Stuttgart in Germany and in 2015 he received his Master of Fine Arts from the same academy. Born in 1986 Ludwigsburg, he currently lives and works in Stuttgart.
