BIOGRAPHY

Through figurative oil paintings, works on paper, and sculpture, Andy Rementer depicts anything and everything he sees around him and condenses it into his brightly colourful yet mysterious visual world.  His statue-esque characters hold a host of feelings that seem to suspend emotion while inviting the viewer into various pensive moments. Rementer enjoys observing ordinary life while reducing what he sees using a few details and carefully placed essential elements from his imagination.

His work has been featured in several solo exhibitions, including Andy Rementer is Back, Fondazione Benetton, Treviso, Italy (2017); Again, Everyday Mooonday Gallery, Seoul (2017); Together, Commune Gallery, Tokyo (2015) Andy Rementer / 앤디 리멘터, Everyday Mooonday Gallery, Seoul (2014); Meet Me Later, Mondo Cane, New York (2014); I Wish I Knew, Mondo Cane, New York (2012); Pronto, The Early Bird Hype,  Berlin (2012); Going Places, Ship of Fools Gallery, The Hague (2012) and My Mondo, Mondo Cane, New York (2011).
