The group exhibition is curated by Jean Claude Geraud, the founder of City of Talents, Toulouse, a contemporary and urban art agency. Childhood Memories brings together the works of twelve contemporary artists from different parts of the world.
Higher Than The Sun
Volery Gallery, Dubai and Stems Gallery, Brussels collaborated to present Higher Than the Sun, a group exhibition opening on 15 December 2021. Opening in December 2021, the exhibition presents a selection of contemporary artists with a prosperous history with the Stems Gallery. The gallery was established in 2015 by siblings Guillaume and Pascaline Smets. The collaboration will highlight the works of artists that are not well known to the art audience in the Middle East, realising Volery's aims for a more comprehensive presentation of contemporary happenings in the international art scene.
American Psycho
Organised by Volery Gallery, American Psycho (2021) is a group exhibition curated by Rom Levy and Massine Benoukaci. It draws its inspiration from the best seller movie of the same title, based on Bret Easton Ellis's 1991 novel. The film features Christian Bale playing Patrick Bateman, a wealthy investment banker. Bateman keeps his psychopathic ego hidden until he loses control and his illogical fantasies escalate, causing him to submit to an uncontrollable bloodlust.
Ethereal
Ethereal is a group exhibition organised by Volery Gallery and curated by Rom Levy the gallery’s Founder and Senior Curator. The show brings together a group of prominent contemporary artists whose work portrays familiar figurations to earthly experiences; nevertheless, these sceneries are preoccupied with a different world than that of the tangible here and now.
Subliminal Matrix - Zhang Ji Solo Exhibition
Volery Gallery presents Subliminal Matrix by Beijing-based Chinese painter Zhang Ji. In this exhibition, this precisely calibrated selection of 12 paintings, created from 2018 - 2020, demonstrates Zhang’s wholehearted engagement with the very structures and systems of painting.
Earth Vessel - Andrew Schoultz Solo Exhibition
Andrew Schoultz's solo exhibition Earth Vessel is the artist's first representation in the Gulf region. The exhibition explores the symbolic and literal meaning of an earth vessel as a metaphor for the human’s existence and body. Reflecting on the fact that maintaining physical and mental health leads to balance, while balance allows us to be present resulting in a positive effect on our surroundings.
